Ukraine has increased reserves of natural gas since the end of last heating season is almost 2.2 times.
Ukraine after the completion of the heating season increased the natural gas reserves in its underground storages (UGS) of 8 billion 749,54 million cubic meters. This is evidenced by data of JSC “Ukrtransgaz”.
So, from 8 April to 29 September 2018 stockpiles increased almost 2.2 times – from 7 billion 435,16 million cubic meters to 16 billion cubic meters 184,7 million.
Recall, as stated by chief Executive officer group “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Yuriy Vitrenko, natural gas reserves in underground storage facilities is enough for comfortable passage of the heating season 2018/2019 years.
He noted that by 15 October, when the expected start of the heating season, underground gas storage (UGS) must be reached 16.1 billion cubic meters of gas, whereas on the same date last year was in the vaults of accumulated 16.8 billion cubic meters.
According to Vitrenko, the reduction of injection due to the fact that Ukraine came out of the last heating season, with relatively high reserves of 7.4 billion cubic meters – the minimum required volume of gas in underground storage facilities of 5 billion cubic meters.
