Mexican seismologists have assessed the situation on the volcano “red alert” – one of the highest levels.

Earlier Popocatepetl was active on 22 August, when the emission of smoke rose to a height of four kilometers.

We will remind, on Tuesday, September 19, in Mexico a powerful earthquake hit a magnitude of 7.1.

According to the USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake with magnitude of 7.1, was located 8 km South-East of Atencingo in the Central state of Puebla and lies at a depth of 51 km.
