In the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl atomic power station the guards together with the police detained the man, who was collecting radioactively contaminated scrap metal. This was reported today on the website of the State border service of Ukraine.
29-year-old resident S. Hornostaipil Kyiv region arrested yesterday, November 23.
It damaged the fence of the rear border of the Chernobyl zone, on a motorcycle entered on the regime territory and implemented the procurement of scrap metal. “At the time of detection by law enforcement authorities, the attacker has collected almost 200 kg of contaminated scrap metal and prepare it for removal from the zone of unconditional (mandatory) resettlement”, – stated in the message.
We will remind, in October the police detained a group of stalkers in the zone of Chernobyl. As noted, four of the capital’s residents age 18 to 22 years entered the Chernobyl zone is out of control and relief items, with the goal of extreme tourism.
