Air Liquide, one of the world leaders in the market of industrial gases, announced the termination of work in the Donbas controlled by the Ukrainian authorities territories where it is the subsidiary of PJSC “air Liquide Yenakievo” (Donetsk oblast). Such a step the French company has taken in connection with the decision of the authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s Republic on introduction of temporary administration in enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction.
“After the recent decisions of the self-proclaimed DND on the establishment of its administrative control over certain Ukrainian companies (including “air Liquide Yenakievo”), operating in the Donbas, Air Liquide then no longer able to continue its ongoing activities in the region”, – stated in the message Air Liquide.
The company emphasized that its priority is the safety of employees and compliance with applicable Ukrainian and international laws.
Group of companies Air Liquide is the world leader in the production of industrial gases. The group operates in 80 countries of the world, its turnover in 2016 amounted to 18.1 billion euros. Air Liquide is working in Ukraine since 1992, initially offered engineering services. In 2011, Air Liquide started the production and sale of industrial gases.
