Formula 1: Vettel won the qualification for the Grand Prix of Russia

Sebastian Vettel won the qualifying races at the Grand Prix of Russia, and “Ferrari” for the first time since 2008, occupied the first row of the starting field.

The fight for pole in Sochi traditionally were pilots “Ferrari” and “Mercedes”. In deciding the segment of the first wave of quick laps was won by Kimi Raikkonen, and Lewis Hamilton made a mistake in one of the turns and behind the Finn for more than a second.

In a final attempt, Raikkonen did not improve the result, as Vettel managed to improve and stay ahead of his partner. Less than one-tenth of a second off pole position is not enough the driver of the “Mercedes” to Valtteri Bottas. Hamilton remained fourth, losing to Vettel by almost six tenths of a second.

As for the second tier, the “Red bull” in the fight for fifth place ahead of Felipe Mass “Williams”. In the top 10 in the full composition will start “Force India”.
