Former German Chancellor calls on the EU to improve relations with Russia

Ex-Chancellor sees this as only the positive aspects.

Former German Chancellor Gerhard schröder considers it appropriate to establish a dialogue between the European Union, Russia and Turkey.

According to German policy, the EU will not achieve stability in Eastern Europe without cooperation with both countries.

We have to remember that Russia and Turkey have an alternative Europe. Their path can be in the direction of Asia. Therefore, we need solid relations with Russia and Turkey,
– said the ex-Chancellor of Germany, adding that the EU should not allow Russia and Turkey turned to China.

Schroeder also once again criticized the EU sanctions against the Russian oil company “Rosneft”. In his remark, the pressure only increases the pressure in response, notes the German edition.
