This model will be called the Police Interceptor.
The Network has unveiled the technical parameters of Ford Explorer for the police. The vehicle was called the Ford Police Interceptor. For the machine provided by the petrol engine EcoBoost V6 3.0, 3.3 V6 unit and a hybrid power installation on the basis of the 3.3 V6 engine working with electric and 10-speed automatic transmission.
Standard Ford Explorer new generation can be presented in Detroit in 2019. The sixth generation model is built on a modular rear-drive platform CD6. The car will be equipped with turbo “4-coy” EcoBoost that is currently in use on the car, and delivers power 284 “horses”.
Instead of the current V6 engine of 3.5 liter capacity of 294 “horse” will use new, more efficient unit 3.3.
“Charged” engine volume 3.5 liters of 2-ethyl-turbo will also leave the engine lineup of the new Ford Explorer. It will be replaced by a 400-strong unit, which will be in the sports versions with prefix in the name of St. New car regardless of the equipment will be equipped with 10-speed “automatic”.
