European Association of gas traders for the first time included Ukraine in its rating.
For the first time Ukraine entered the top twenty gas hubs of Europe in the ranking of the European Association of gas traders (EFET), having occupied 18-e a place. On Wednesday, November 29, the press service of Naftogaz.
“EFET for the first time included Ukraine in its annual review of gas hubs. In the ranking of the Association of Ukraine has received 3.5 points and lost liquid hubs such as NBP, TTF, NCG, but ahead of Bulgaria and Romania, which initiated a process of liberalization of the gas market much earlier than our country”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that to improve positions in the ranking EFET Ukraine should establish tariffs on the domestic point of entry/exit from the GTS, to implement daily balancing, settlement of off-balance sheet activities and begin to use short-term standardised products on a trading platform within the framework of daily balancing.
“The adoption of the draft amendments to the code of the GTS, was developed by Ukrtransgaz and filed them in NKREKU, will help the Ukrainian hub to significantly improve their position and to rise in the next review EFET” – added to Naftogaz.
