For the first time in three years, increased worldwide sales of televisions

Terms of TV revenue in the three leaders entered the Sony through the sale of OLED TVs and other premium models.

Sales of TVs in the world for the first time in three years has increased, boosted by rising food prices, the study said IHS Markit.

According to analysts, in July–September 2017 manufacturers shipped a total of 54.8 million TV sets, which is 5% lower than a year earlier. Revenue on the market rose 1 %, and this rise was the first since 2014.

The return of the TV market by growing revenues due to a 6 per cent increase in the average check for TVs, which in turn was due to the distribution of larger models with ultra-high resolution (4K).

The average diagonal of the TV set in the third quarter of 2017, was 42.1 inches, which is 1.7% more than a year ago. The share of the 4K devices had 35% of the market by volume and 64 percent by value.

In a press release on the study, analysts at IHS, Markit said the strengthening of the position of Chinese brands Hisense and TCL, which supplies TV took third and fourth places respectively, behind only Samsung and LG.
