For the first time in 23 years two Ukrainian women will play in the 1/16 finals of Wimbledon

Elina Svitolina and Lesia Tsurenko in London to rewrite the history of the Ukrainian tennis.

The strongest tennis player of Ukraine, who is in actual WTA rankings for the fifth row, for the first time in his career he reached the third round of the grass tournament of series Grand slam.

Way Tsurenko to the personal record was more complex – in the match against Julia Gerges from Kiev played match-bol (6:7, 7:6, 6:4), and in the match against Victoria Golubich also spent on the court the maximum three sets (6:1, 2:6, 6:3).

For the first time since 1993, two Ukrainian tennis player will play in the 1/16 finals of Wimbledon. Elina Svitolina will meet with German Karin Witthoeft and Lesia Tsurenko will try to stop Magdalena Rybarikova that in the second round sensationally passed the third racket of the world Carolina Pliskova.
