The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has imposed restrictions on duty-free import of goods into the territory of Ukraine worth up to €50 and weighing no heavier than 50 kg to once in three days.
Appropriate changes to the Customs code (law No. 7280) Parliament adopted in plenary session on 7 December.
In addition, during the absence of the citizen in the country should exceed 24 hours.
Also duty and excise tax will be imposed on goods in international mail and Express shipments.
Under the adopted changes, in excess of the above limitations, the tax base is the total value of the imported goods, which exceeds the equivalent of €50, account payable duties.
The product will also be subject to customs duties in case of import of goods by individuals in hand Luggage or accompanying Luggage more than once a day. In this case the tax will be imposed on goods imported after the first border crossing.
