The event was attended by about two thousand people.
Sunday, March 5, in Lviv held a torchlight procession called “Remember the heroes”, dedicated to the 67th anniversary of the death of UPA commander Roman Shukhevych.
From the monument to Taras Shevchenko, the participants with torches marched to the monument to Victims of Communist crimes on the street of Stepan Bandera. There’s a moment of silence in honor of all the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine.
The March was accompanied by slogans in support of the leaders of the OUN-UPA Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych. Youth chanted slogans “Together to the end!”, “Glory to the nation! Death to the enemies!”, “One uniform Cathedral Ukraine!”, “Bandera, Shukhevych – heroes of Ukraine” and others.
The procession ended at the monument to the Fighters for freedom of Ukraine on the street Vitovsky, where young people read a prayer of the Ukrainian nationalist and lit flares.
