Floods in Vietnam have claimed the lives of 24 people

Floods in the Central provinces of Vietnam have claimed the lives of 24 people, another 16 were injured.

According to the Agency, 16 of the dead were residents of Binh Dinh province, five more victims from the province of Thethen-hue. As noted, the disaster also claimed the lives of three residents of the province of Khanh Hoa and Phu yen.

Due to flooding and 16 people were injured, two missing.

The hurricanes demolished the homes of 322, 118 flooded damaged six residential buildings. Residents of 150 homes had to be evacuated to safe areas. According to estimates of the authorities, as a result of a natural disaster flooded more than 19,000 hectares of rice fields, nearly 10 000 hectares of cereals and almost 4 hectares of forest stands.

The total damage from the disaster is estimated at 35.11 million dollars.
