American bobsledder Holcomb died at the age of 37 years.
The Olympic champion of 2010 in bobsleigh, the American Steven Holcomb was found dead in his room at the Olympic training Center team USA in lake placid (new York).

On the causes of death of 37-year-old athlete is currently not reported.
“The whole Olympic family is shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of Steven Holcomb, – said General Director of the Olympic Committee of U.S. Scott Blackman. Stephen was a great athlete and a great man, his perseverance and achievements were an inspiration to all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Stephen and all of the bobsleigh community.”
Holcomb won the Olympics 2010 in Vancouver in the fours at the Games in Sochi he won two bronze medals in twos and fours. Also to his credit, five gold and five bronze medals at the world Championships.
