The consumer basket of Ukrainians has risen more than 15%, the result of which Ukraine became the leader on increase in food prices among the countries of Europe.
This year the leader of the price hike has become fat. According to government statistics, the price of the national product grew by 67%, pork 47%. Beef has added to the cost of 34%, and chicken has risen by 32%.
Experts explain this by the fact that now in Ukraine the lowest livestock of cattle and pigs in all the years of independence.
In addition, dairy products went up on average by 30%. Bread rose in price by 20%.
Experts have concluded that food prices in Ukraine are growing faster than inflation, pensions and salaries. The price of domestic products is already very close to the price of the European. The only thing cheaper is buckwheat: it has reduced the price by almost a quarter.
The price of sugar, eggs and vegetable oil practically have not changed.
Recall that in Ukraine in October this year was recorded inflation at 1.2%, compared to 2% in September.
