FIFA has fined Russia for “discriminatory banner”

The international football Federation has fined the Russian football Union on 10 thousand Swiss francs (about $10 thousand) for discriminatory behavior of fans during the match between Russia and Uruguay.

According to Reuters, a penalty after Russian fans “showed discriminatory banner after losing team”.

Russia lost to Uruguay with the score 3:0 in the last match of the group stage of the world Cup. Both teams reached the playoffs.

However, FIFA has fined Serbia for 20 thousand francs for the banner “political and offensive” overtones in the match against Brazil.

Federation Mexico fined 15 thousand Swiss francs for the behaviour of fans who threw objects on the field during the match with Sweden.

The football Federation of Morocco fined 65 thousand Swiss francs for incidents in the stands during the match against Spain and for the fact that 6 members of the technical staff left in the field after the final whistle.
