The novelty, the circulation of which is limited to ten copies, got a 690-HP engine and a set of stylistic traits of several models of previous years.
Over the project worked experts of the Special Projects division and design center Ferrari in Maranello. The basis is the model of the 488 Spider, but J50 is almost completely new body, reminiscent of tarsu.
The company noted that the new product should remind of “a few favorite road Ferrari of the 1970s and 1980s”. In the design you can find references to, for example, models of the GTO and later the F40 and F50.
Externally J50 stands out with a set of carbon fiber aerodynamic elements in a circle, 20-inch forged wheels, full led optics.
The removable roof of the supercar is made from carbon and consists of two parts for which there are special compartments behind the seats.
The novelty has maintained the mid-engine layout “donor” of the Roadster. The engine is the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8, but 20 horsepower more powerful than the 488 Spider. Figures on the development of the company failed. Spider, recall, is able to dial first “hundred” for three seconds, and acceleration to 200 kilometers per hour is 8.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 325 km / h.
What markets will be offered a limited J50, as well as information on the cost of a Ferrari is not disclosed.
