Swiss tennis player Roger Federer in the final of a major tournament series of the ATP 1000 again upset Rafael Nadal.
Federer and Nadal for the 37th time met at the official level. Although in personal meetings advantage was in Spanish (23:13), the last three matches were won by the Swiss, including the recent fights in the final of the Australian Open and fourth round at Masters in Indian wells.
At the start of the match rare game passed without break points, but both players squandered their chance at the reception. In the eighth game, Federer finally converted a break point, and then confidently applied for CET.
In the second party Federer brilliantly acted on his serve, not allowing Nadal to even think about the break point. In the seventh game the Spaniard barely defended his serve, but after a few minutes the clay king has made a mistake and opened the way to Federer’s 26th win in the tournament series of the ATP 1000.
Third in career success in Miami brought Roger Federer over 1.1 million dollars in prize money and 1000 ranking points. Next week, the Swiss, who won 19 of 20 matches in 2017, will become the fourth racket of the world, and will strengthen its leadership in Champion race ATR.
