Facebook forbidden to follow activists

Developers are forbidden to use the data of social network users

Facebook banned the app developers to monitor user activity to identify activists and demonstrators.

That user data should not be used for surveillance, the Associated Press reports. Also, the developers do not have the right to monitor user activity to identify activists and demonstrators.

Company Facebook reported that the developers “must protect received through a social network data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure”. In particular, does not produce tools that will be used for tracking.

By the way, in Germany they want to penalize Facebook and Twitter for non-surgical removal of prohibited content.
