Facebook attacked new dangerous virus

Facebook атаковал новый опасный вирусSocial sharing via private messages transmit the malicious image.

Malicious files behind images with the extension SVG passed via private messages.

The attackers embed the SVG-file of a malicious code. After the transition is hidden in the picture link, it opens a website similar to YouTube. Victims are forced to download the plug-in for Chrome browser to view the video. This plugin also contains built-in viruses.

After infecting the computer the virus starts sending to your friends via Facebook. In addition, you run Locky ransomware that encrypts data on the device and offers to pay money for the decryption.

To protect yourself from infection is possible if not to open the image with an unusual format (SVG, JS, HTA and others). Accidental clicking on an infected image experts recommend not to run the file.
