F1 Bottas – winner of the Grand Prix of Austria

The pilot of the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas in Austria scored his second career victory at the stages of Formula 1.

At the start of the race Finn easily held the lead and gradually began to move away from his pursuers, headed by Vettel. Meanwhile, Raikkonen lost a place in the top 3, behind ricciardo.

While Bottas has established himself a comfortable lead, Hamilton started eighth in less than 10 laps broke into the top 5 and began pursuit of Raikkonen.

The climactic moment of the race occurred on the last laps – Vettel has rapidly closed the gap on Bottas, and Hamilton, who due to an early pit stop to get around Raikkonen, very close to Riccardo in the fight for the podium. The two leaders of the season did not have another 1-2 laps to take respectively first and third place.

Valtteri Bottas win at the expense of Austria closed the gap on Lewis Hamilton, while Sebastian Vettel increased his lead in the championship to 20 points.
