From all the efforts, the effect is negligible.
The effect of anti-corruption measures in Ukraine over the last four years is about 6% of GDP. So says Igor Burakovsky, the famous economist, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for economic research and policy consulting, Professor of economic theory of National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
Doctor of economic Sciences Burakovsky presented at the Second international conference in Copenhagen (Denmark) report on the anti-corruption achievements of Ukraine.
“We got a very good result every year thanks to the measures that were implemented in the years 2014-2017, the economic effect amounted to about 6% of GDP. This means that we get real achievement in the fight against corruption. On the other hand, these figures show that how deeply Ukrainian economic matter to corrupt the affected connections”, — said the Professor.
The economist is sure that in the calculation of the economic effect experts studied the situation in the gas market, expected economic impact of public procurement through ProZorro, looked at the transparency of public administration, open registers and statistical information.
