South Korea has estimated the number of nuclear weapons in the DPRK.
On arming North Korea may range from 20 to 60 nuclear warheads, said the South Korean Minister of unification, Cho Myeong-Gon, according to the Ministry.
The message contains the reservation that the words of the Minister do not serve as the basis for South Korea to consider DPRK’s nuclear power.
In September in Pyongyang was held a meeting of the President of South Korea, moon Jae In and North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN.
In a statement following the meeting, it was noted that if the United States will take the necessary steps, then North Korea will work toward the denuclearization of the Peninsula.
The war between South and North Korea was stopped after the armistice agreement signed in 1953. Between the two Koreas still have not signed a peace agreement, so technically the war is considered over.
