Assassin’s Creed: Origins went on sale two weeks ago and, according to the figures from Ubisoft, has successfully sold around the world. However, it is possible that there still are comrades who have not purchased the game about assassins in Ancient Egypt because I can’t decide which version to choose. For them, the team at Digital Foundry has prepared the following video review.
According to technical analysts, Assassin’s Creed: Origins looks best on barely hitting the market Xbox One X.
In particular, with the improved resolution the picture on the console from Microsoft looks sharper than on the PlayStation 4 Pro. Yes, the resolution system in the game is supported on all consoles, but on Xbox One it X comes to a maximum of 3584×2016, and the PlayStation 4’s Pro — only 2816×1584. Whereas the minimum falls to 1656p on Xbox One and X to 1350p on the latest console from Sony.
In General, on average, you will be able to play Assassin’s Creed: Origins at 1440p on PlayStation 4 Pro and 1700p on Xbox One X. Plus, according to Digital Foundry, on the last platform and filters textures, resolution and shadows will be better. So this version is a cross between a version for the PC on the highest settings and PlayStation 4 Pro. But you may not particularly notice, because it works fine temporal smoothing.
As for the framerate, here between Xbox One and PlayStation 4, X Pro there is not much difference. Both versions of Assassin’s Creed: Origins give a stable 30fps, which is not the standard Xbox One and PlayStation 4. But the cutscene everywhere appear intermittently.
