Kickstarter ended fundraising for a startup called MELLA — smart alarm clock that lulls children.
By means of specific lighting and sound the device is able to calm the child and “customize” it to proper sleep.
The device has a screen which shows animated eyes and smile. When it comes to sleep, Wake up “closes eyes” and includes relaxing sounds — rain, ocean or forest. Night MELLA works as a nightlight, and for half an hour before the child should Wake up, yellow light lights up, simulating sunrise. When it’s time to Wake up, the device changes to green.
Also the gadget can calculate the required sleep time and NAP for the baby. Smart alarm clock should appear on the market in January 2018 at a price of $39.
