Experience Prague: in Kiev, I want to enumerate street lights

Innovation will make life easier for the people of Kiev.

The Kyiv authorities have decided to improve the geolocation of the capital, the capital will number the street lights.

This innovation should facilitate the work of emergency services and drivers. The decision was taken at a meeting of the standing Committee on budget and socio-economic development.

So, according to the draft decision, the geographical orientation in the capital is proposed to improve ponomarova outdoor lighting poles and power grids. As explained in the city hall, today the drivers get confused in the maze of renamed streets. Therefore, I suggest to introduce a Single numbering system.

“Similar historical experience from other European cities with a rich historical events of the life of Prague. In the Czech capital there is a numbering system of street lamps, which, after a series of precedents create novonastalih streets, avenues and boulevards, helps workers, police, taxi drivers accurately and quickly identify location. Each of the pillars of the city is marked with a unique number. In the event of an emergency, when the outcome of a second to decide, the Manager of the service reported the number of the nearest support. Police, ambulance, fire – all use this numbering,” – said the author of the draft decision, the Deputy of city Council Alexander Pabat.

The draft decision provides for the establishment of such a system in Kiev. This will improve the geolocation in the city and increase the efficiency of the emergency call.

In case of approval of the document at the meeting of the PSC, the Executive body within three months to develop and approve a Unified system of numbering lampposts and electricity in Kiev.
