Ex-Ukraine midfielder Nazarenko retired

Famous Ukrainian footballer Serhiy Nazarenko puts an end to his career of the player and immediately begins coaching.

One of the best players in the history of the “Dnepr” has finally hung up his boots to start work in the coaching staff of the youth team of the club from the same city.

“I decided to start a new stage in career and life. Moved on to coaching. Some time ago I enrolled in courses, where learning for licence categories B and A, and now has the opportunity to gain experience. Glad that this is happening for the home team. Slowly adapting to a new role and will by all means work for the benefit of “Dnepr”, – quotes the text of the statement Nazarenko official website of “Dnepr”.

Nazarenko, the pupil of DYUSSH Kirovograd “Star”, from 1999 to 2011 was made in “the river” which became the bronze medalist of the Ukrainian championship, reached the finals twice and helped Dnipro to qualify for the 1/16 finals of the UEFA Cup.

After leaving Dnipro Nazarenko played in the “Tavria”, “Chernomorets” and “Metalist”. In the championship of Ukraine midfielder played 373 matches and scored 73 goals.

Sergey Nazarenko is one of seven players in the history of the national team of Ukraine, who scored a double-digit number of goals. In the main team of the country midfielder from 2003 to 2014 he played 41 matches and scored 11 goals. Member of the 2006 world Cup and Euro 2012.
