The works of the talented Serbian photographer.
Serbian photographer Boogie in the early 2000s moved to new York and began photographing the street life of Brooklyn. He met with members of a gang and spent time with them, taking photographs along the way. Today, Brooklyn – a pretty respectable neighbourhood, referred to as the “capital of hipsters,” but 10 years ago it was different.
Boogie (real name – Vladimir Milivojevich) collected all the images from that time and published a photo album called It’s All Good. Over the years has changed not only in Brooklyn: the life of the photographer also changed career took off, and today he works for companies such as Nike, Puma, and HBO. Today he recalls how it all began.
“With these guys I met by chance – they started talking to me on the street. I think that has helped my accent because I speak not as those they hate. A few days later they asked me to take some pictures – I wanted to pose with their guns,” says the photographer.
According to him, it was a very interesting experience while shooting them with all these loaded pistols was a little scary. But it hooked and he returned to them again, and they took him in and let into your circle. So there was an opportunity to observe the life of gangs and document it.
And not just gangs. It then all interested in the life of the streets, especially with regard to drug dealers and addicts. This side of life that is usually hidden from prying eyes, gave Boogie a lot of material for creativity.
“I was very surprised – so this is how much they actually earned. They probably would earn more at McDonalds than selling crack on the street. Only leaders make serious money, and these kids are killing each other for twenty.”
Relationships with gang members have developed warm and friendly.
Dead rat in the picture is the warning sign from the gang Latin Kings a scammer. Boogie says this guy then killed.
Amongst the violence and drugs there were moments filled with lyubovyu. These two have a child, but they are not together.
On many shots, money and weapons, but this is typical street thugs.
There are photos showing the horrible reality of drug addiction.

“This is the second edition of my book, more complete. After the first edition, I showed a gang my book and they loved it. And they wanted to give me material for the next album. I asked them: “Why are you showing me all this? I’ll naichau!” And they’re like, “Dude, you could have all the plant and did it.” That’s why now came my second book about them.”
