One in five (21%) of respondents “Levada-the centre” Russians expressed a desire to go abroad for permanent residence (in 2014 there were 17%). And wanting to leave more markedly among young people.
So, 53% of respondents 18-24 years old said they wanted to leave the country (22% in 2015). Recorded and the growth of emigration moods have a generation of middle age — 30% (was 22%). Often the desire to leave say the respondents with higher education from all age groups (26%).
Among the main reasons for emigration is the desire to provide children with a decent future (45%), economic situation (40%), political (33%). Also indicate the high quality of medical services abroad (35%) and career opportunities (28%). The real willingness of Russians to emigrate does not change: only 7% of respondents are taking real steps to move.
The survey was conducted from 26 September to 2 October among 1, 6 thousand people in 137 settlements 50 regions.
