European investor has acquired six Ukrainian sugar refineries

Европейский инвестор приобрел шесть украинских сахарных заводовThe company Pfeifer&Langen closed the transaction on purchase of 6 sugar factories “T-I”.

The company Pfeifer&Langen (Germany) has closed the acquisition of six sugar refineries in Ternopil region, previously owned by holding “T-I”.

“We bought 6 plants “T-I”: Barshcheuski, Buchatskiy, Zbarazh kozivs’kyi lanovets’kyi and Horoskopski sugar plant (Ternopil region)”, – said the representative of open company “Radekhiv sugar” Vitaly Sikorski.

Financial partner of the deal were Bank “Pivdenny”

As reported, the company “T-I”, which belonged to the above mentioned six plants in Ternopil region and plant “Horodenka” in Ivano-Frankivsk region, controlled by the family of Gut.

Until 2014 sugar holding “T-I” among the three leaders in the production of sugar in Ukraine, but in 2014 the plants were idle.

Pfeifer&Langen is a major European sugar producer. The company, in particular, owns sugar factories in Germany, Poland, Romania, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Ukraine. In Ukraine it owns Radekhiv sugar plant (Lviv region) and LLC “Chortkiv sugar factory” (Ternopilska region).
