EU to abolish visas for citizens of Ukraine until the summer, head of the European Commission

Juncker held talks with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.

Visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU will work for the summer this year. This was stated by the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels after a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.

“We discussed the issue of visa liberalization is going to happen until summer,” Juncker said at a briefing.

As reported yesterday in mass media there was information that Ukraine will receive a visa-free regime with the EU on 12 June this year.

Later the Prime Minister Groysman has assured that the EU will take the final decision on bezveze with Ukraine in June. “In fact, now each month is a technical procedure. I think what will happen tentatively in June to reach a final decision,” – said Groisman.
