EU countries agreed on military cooperation

This is stated in the report of the summit held in Brussels.

EU leaders agreed at a summit in Brussels to begin increased defence cooperation between the countries of the community until Dec. This is stated in the conclusions of the summit, published on the website of the European Council.

It is reported that the document notes the cooperation that has been achieved between the member States in the preparation of a Permanent structure for cooperation (PESCO).

It is noted that this program combines financial resources to lower costs and more efficient use of funds.
Also, the European Council will return to this issue in December 2017 and will assess progress on all aspects of external agenda in the field of security and defense.
