Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Ukraine on 9 October, writes lb.ua citing an informed source.
According to the interlocutor of the Agency, last year it was agreed to hold in Kiev the sixth meeting of the strategic Council of high level between Ukraine and Turkey, under the chairmanship of the President of Petro Poroshenko and Erdogan.
On the question of what topics will be discussed during the visit, the source noted that, among other things, long is the negotiation process on concluding agreement on free trade zone.
On the question of whether it planned to sign any documents, he recalled that in late September the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft intergovernmental agreement on the reciprocal promotion and protection of investments, the signing of which authorized the first Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv.
The previous meeting of Erdogan with President Petro Poroshenko took place on 21 September on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Nations in new York (USA), Poroshenko’s visit to Turkey in March 2016, and Erdogan’s visit to Ukraine in March 2015.
