This was announced by the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to the head of Turkey, Putin said: “erdoğan, don’t get me wrong. I’m not defending Assad, I am not his lawyer.”
The publication stresses that the way the Turkish leader has hinted at a significant weakening of the support that Assad receives from Russia.
Erdogan at the same time added that the conflict in Syria cannot be resolved until Assad is in power.
He also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the international community cannot force the head of Syria to step down as President.
