Enterprise Ukroboronprom will supply EU spare parts to the tanks

State foreign trade enterprise Spetstechnoexport, part of the Ukroboronprom state concern, has received a contract from the state a European company for supply of components for tanks T-72 during the 2017-2019 biennium. About it reports a press-service of the enterprise.

It is alleged that a contract signed as a result of participation Fully in the public tender according to the rules of the GPA (Government Procurement Agreement), which was supported by the project office GPAinUA in the framework of the pilot project.

“The tender was conducted in accordance with the European Directive Defence Directive 2009/81/EC. Conditions of participation in the tender were similar to those required of participants in public tenders in the Ukrainian Prozorro. After Ukraine’s accession to the GPA agreement, Spetstechnoexport became the first Ukrainian company, which won the European tender for the rules of the GPA,” reads the message.

The company noted that in the EU countries, former members of the “Soviet bloc” still in service is a lot of armored and aviation equipment of the Soviet sample, which needs upgrading and maintenance.

“The Ukrainian defense industry has a broad development and competence to carry out such work”, – said the Director of Spetstechnoexport Paul Barbul.
