British schoolgirl had celebrated a graduation with 120 bikers
British schoolgirl from Gosport missed my prom, because her classmates bullied her because of health problems. But she still managed to dance in my dress for 500 euros, when friends gave her own party.
16-year-old Shannon, Purcifer (Shannon Purcifer) did not go to graduation because the seniors taunted her because of a serious illness: Shannon ulcerative colitis and arthritis. For graduation she even bought a dress but at the last moment decided not to go, fearing ridicule classmates. On hearing this, her mother Claire posted a picture of Shannon in a dress in Facebook. And it touched people.
The ridicule began two years ago, after Shannon spent two weeks in the hospital. Then the insults came in the social network. “It was difficult to cope. They used to call me the most horrible names I can’t even repeat them,” said the girl. She even had to change my phone number, but the bullying did not stop.
Shannon was afraid that classmates will poison her to prom. The night before the ball she tried on a dress that was bought in February, but to go and decided not to.
More than a hundred friends and relatives came to the makeshift prom, which was constructed specifically for Shannon. There was a Banquet, and decorations, and a disco.
The girl said: “It was just great. It was nice to chat with everyone and to thank them for their efforts. It was even better than I could imagine. Much better than if I went to your prom. The best part is when the bikers arrived. I knew they were coming, but could not think that I will ride a three-wheeled motorcycle.” Bikers from Gosport Scooter Club helped with the organisation of the festival.
Speaking before the party Shannon, Director of the school said: “the Alternative prom is an excellent idea. This is a great example of positive social media”.
