Emergency measures in the energy sector extended for another month

The measures were extended until may 16, 2017.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extends temporary emergency measures in the energy sector for another month. The decision was taken at a government meeting on Wednesday, April 12.

“It’s about temporary measures on the electricity market. Are there any objections? Continued, the decision was made,” said Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.

According to a government decision, emergency measures in the energy sector were extended until may 16, 2017.

Earlier, the government reported that the maximum state of emergency in the electricity sector can act for two months.

We will remind, extraordinary measures in the energy sector came into effect from February 17, due to the blockade of the supply of goods from the zone ATO, in particular, coal of anthracitic group, which employs half of the thermal power generating companies of the country.
