Donetsk metallurgical plant stopped work

The company does not have enough iron ore.

Today the Donetsk metallurgical plant (DMZ), part of a group Donetskstal, stopped work the only existing blast furnace No. 1 because of the shortage of iron ore. No deliveries in connection with a trade blockade of Donbass.

As reports Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the representative of the enterprise, the Sunday before worked the day shift, after which blast furnace has stopped working.

The interviewer noted that earlier DP-1 was melted 1,4-1,7 thousand tons of iron per day, on average – about 1.5 thousand tons. The second blast furnace was not introduced long ago to work a stove.

“The reason why the lack of iron ore. The coke was supplied from Makeyevka by-product coke plant, problems was not with him”, – stated the representative of the company.
