The leadership of the Donetsk filtering station ceased operation of the plant and evacuate personnel because of the attacks. This was reported by the press service of the company “Water of Donbass” on Friday morning, February 24.
“Two days in Donetsk filtration station is in the area of the strongest attacks. During this period, the object filter plant received significant damage,” according to the company.
It specified that the ammunition got to the tank No. 1 and in the warehouse of chlorine. Also recorded two hits in the reservoirs of clean water, the shells fell near the administration building and the building of the filters. In addition, fragments of the split building of the filters and damaged window overlaps (OSB), damaged the roof of the building filters.
“In such circumstances, to ensure the work of the Donetsk filter plant is impossible, people are almost always in the shelter. The company management took the decision to evacuate personnel and stop Donetsk filtering station”, – said in a statement.
Note, the DFS provides a partially water, Avdeevka, Krasnogorovka and the village Verkhnetoretskoye, which are under the control of the Ukrainian military. Also, the station provides water in the occupied Donetsk, Yasinovataya, villages Vasilevka and Spartak.
