The first racket of Ukraine Oleksandr Dolgopolov for the third time in the season made it to the final of the ATP tournament.
For a place in the final of the “Shenzhen Open” Dolgopolov competed with the strongest tennis player of Bosnian Damir Jumhuri, who last week won the tournament in St. Petersburg, and in the semifinals of Shenzhen beat the leader of sowing Alexander Zverev.
In each set Dolgopolov made one break, and his serve won back three break points. The Ukrainian had served 8 aces, made 3 double faults, won 89% of balls with the first ball and took 20 balls at the reception.
Opponent Dolgopolov in the final in Shenzhen will be the 12th-ranked David Goffin. Alexander won both head confrontation with the tennis player from Belgium.
Dolgopolov for the third time in the season will play in the ATP final earlier that it was possible only in 2012. Ukrainian in the beginning of the season became the champion of Buenos Aires, and in July in Bastade lost to David Ferrer.
Following the tournament in Shenzhen Alexander Dolgopolov guaranteed a return in the top 50 of the ATP ranking, and in case of a victory over David Goffin Ukrainian Monday will become the 40th player in the world.
