Dolgopolov to reach the second round at the masters in Cincinnati

The first racket of Ukraine Oleksandr Dolgopolov off to a good start in the main draw tournament of the ATP 1000 Cincinnati.

After successful completion of the qualification Dolgopolov in the first round of the us masters had a meeting with the strongest African tennis player Kevin Anderson, who is in the current ATP ranking of the 27-th row.

Ukrainians have a chance to take revenge for last year defeat in Cincinnati. Then Dolgopolov after losing starter set due to injury refused to continue the fight.

The fate of the first set decided to break Dolgopolov in the seventh game. On his serve Alexander operated reliably and not allowing Anderson to reach the break points.

In the second set Dolgopolov tried to repeat the trick with a break in the seventh game, but this time, Anderson bailed out the first pitch. In the tie-break the Ukrainian took three match-balls, to spectacular blow at the net to secure their place in the next round.

In the second round of the “Western & Southern Open” Alexander Dolgopolov will play against the first racket of Australia’s Nick Kyrgios.
