According to them, affect mood alerts coming to smartphone.
Over 30% of messages received on smartphones, worsen our mood. So say scientists at the University of Nottingham Trent.
In the course of the study, in five weeks, 50 volunteers with special app sent about 500 thousand messages, more than a third of which makes people experience negative emotions: hostility, nervousness, sadness, fear and shame.
Worst of all participants was influenced by messages that aren’t associated with people, for example, about updating your phone or Wi-Fi access.
In addition, the negativity was caused by the information associated with the work, especially if it is sent immediately in large quantities.
“These digital messages are constantly distracted from our work, demanding attention. At the same time messages make our lives more convenient, but we need to better understand how their obsessive use affects our well-being,” says one of the study’s authors Dr. Ayman kanji.
