Locality with good crocodiles are in Africa.
In the West African nation of Burkina Faso is the village of Batule – just 30 kilometers from the capital Ouagadougou. The village stands on the shore of the lake, where live the most peaceful in the world of crocodiles. Even the old-timers Basole don’t remember to have at least one alligator attacked a man and caused him even the slightest harm.
The crocodiles in this village like stray dogs or cats. The villagers feed them and even play with them, despite the fact that crocodiles, as elsewhere, do seem rather ferocious predators. However, the children blithely bathing in a lake and women wash clothes, and men easily “communicate” with the reptiles to a mutual agreement and understanding.
Of course, the crocodiles here are not as big and bloodthirsty as, say, the Nile. This, as scientists have identified, a separate stock alligator – Crocodylus suchus, which is also called the desert or West African crocodiles. But we cannot say that exclusively everywhere these reptiles as a peaceful, almost domestic. But because no one could understand how the villagers Basole managed to tame these predators, which are believed to be not trainable.
However, in the world there are instances when a person was friends with the crocodile, but because you can’t say gators without exception – the aggressors who need certainly to fear and stay away from them. For example, residents of Basole think of their crocodiles are sacred animals, who have gone to the lake together with the rain, but because, while they exist, the area faces drought. That’s why they care about the alligators, feed them, even talk to them, in a word, friends.
And “fierce” toothy predators respond to people the same. It’s hard to tell whether they are attracted to this area, the rain, as I believe Africans themselves, however peacefully belong to the villagers, causing one of them not only harm, but even of some inconvenience, on the contrary, for example, to play with a crocodile – this is so cool!
