Former President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, has died at the age of 95. On Friday told acting President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“Incredibly sad to announce the death of the founding father of Zimbabwe and former President Robert Mugabe”, — he wrote in Twitter.
Robert Gabriel Mugabe in power in Zimbabwe since April 1980, first as Prime Minister (until 1987) and then as President. After coming to power he established a single-party regime as the founder and leader of lavorazioniplastica (Maoist) guerrilla movement, the African national Union of Zimbabwe (ZANU).
In the later years of the reign of Robert Mugabe has been criticized both inside the country and abroad. The guilt he had been delivered of mass human rights violations, corruption, failing economic policies and black racism.
In November 2017, in a military coup, Mugabe was actually removed from power and placed under house arrest. In the same month, he resigned as President.
