9 may 2017, lost his battle with cancer Italian musician, producer and DJ, the founder of the genre “drum house” Roberto Death, better known as Robert miles (Robert Miles). The author of the famous song “Children” was only 47 years old.
Fame came to him in 1995 with the single “Children”, which has sold five million copies, and the track for thirteen weeks held the first place of the charts Euro Top 100.
Miles talked about what inspired him to create “Children”. It was photos of children who are victims of war, which his father brought home after a humanitarian mission in the former Yugoslavia. He also wanted to write a track that covers his DJ sets and designed to convey to visitors the raves need to be careful on the road and reduce the number of road accident victims.
In 1996 debut album Dreamland, which won platinum and gold status. Only miles has released 5 albums: Dreamland (1996), 23am (1997), Organik (2001), Miles_Gurtu (2004) and Th1rt3en (2011).
A certain attitude was Robert miles and the genre of mystery and horror. In 2002, he as an actor (!) played a small role in the horror film “snake island” (Snake Island) directed by Wayne Crawford. The film, however, little known and apparently not too good since its world premiere took place only in the spring of 2005. However, this fact in the biography of miles (in the movie credits he was listed as Roberto Death) there, let them remember him, we will not for it.
