Died one of the founders of the Internet

In the United States at the age of 85 years died scientist Robert Taylor.

He played a key role in the creation of the Internet and modern computers.

Taylor died April 13 at home, says his son. He suffered from Parkinson’s disease.

In 1960, Taylor launched a prototype Internet — Arpanet. He worked on the development of the personal computer and data transmission technologies Ethernet in the research center of Xerox.

Taylor funded the development of computer technology in various institutions engaged in the training of talented young scientists. Led the team that developed the first personal computer Аlto.
