Died Ukrainian athletics legend Nadezhda Olizarenko.
In Odessa died a famous Soviet athlete Nadezhda Olizarenko, which was only 63 years old.
The cause of death of the former athletes were the consequences of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which was diagnosed in Nadezhdy Fedorovny in late 2015, reports the Federation of athletics of Ukraine.
Nadezhda Olizarenko was a star middle distance and became the gold medalist in the 800 meters and bronze in the 1,500 meters at the Olympic Games in Moscow.
Also Nadezhda Fedorovna was the former world record holder at 800-meters and the world record that she set in 1984, the year the USSR team in the relay 4х800 meters (7.50,17), still no one to beat but could not. After retiring, she worked as a coach in Odessa SKA.
