The coaching staff of the national team of Ukraine on swimming determined bid for the world Cup in Budapest (July 14-30).
The team included 13 athletes, including four experts on open water. At the world championship by water kinds of sports Ukraine will not be represented in the relays and individual medley.
The national team of Ukraine at the world championship by water kinds of sports:
Men: Andrey Govorov (50 m freestyle, 50 m butterfly), Sergey Frolov (1500 m freestyle), Michael Romanchuk (1500 m freestyle), Dmitri Gornicki (50 m, 100 m backstroke), Andrew Boys (50 m butterfly), Andrey Lemeshko (100 m butterfly) and Sergei Shevtsov (50 m, 100 m free style).
Women: Darya Zevina (50 m, 100 m, 200 m backstroke) and Maria leaver (50 m, 100 m, bras).
Open water: Igor chervinskiy (5 km, 10 km), Igor Snitko (5 km, 10 km), Christina Panchisco (5 km, 10 km) and Marina Kirik (5 km, 10 km).
Two years ago the national team of Ukraine for water sports in Kazan won three medals (0-2-1) and took 19th place in the team standings. Swimmers among the winners of the world championship was not.
