The heliosphere is a region around the Sun, which strongly influence the magnetic field of the star.
Greek and American scientists have found that the heliosphere — the region of space where solar wind (stream of ionized particles) moves away from the sun, has a spherical shape. A study published in the journal Nature Astronomy briefly about it, reports NASA.
“Instead of extended as in comet tail, rough bubble-shaped form of the heliosphere caused by strong interstellar magnetic field is much stronger than previously estimated,” — said the study’s lead author Costas Dialynas (Kostas Dialynas).
Prior to this, scientists believed that the heliosphere is similar in shape to that of a comet who’s tail. A new study has disproved this point of view, despite the fact that astrostar number of stars (e.g. the stars of the World from the constellation of the whale) experts have observed of similar shape.
The heliosphere is a region around the Sun, which strongly influence the magnetic field of the star.
