Decommunization continues: in Kiev was renamed one more subway station

Декоммунизация продолжается: в Киеве переименовали еще одну станцию метроFor changes voted 70 deputies.

The deputies of Kyiv city Council voted for the renaming of the metro station “Petrovka” to the station “Pochaina” and Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiiska line – Obolon-Cheremkhovskoe.

“Metro station “Petrovka” was renamed “pochayna” – in accordance with the name of the river Pochaina, which is one of the oldest in Kiev”, – reads the statement of the press service of the city Council.

Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiiska metro line was given a new name – Obolon-Teremkovskaya. The previous name reflected only the initial draft of the line, and now it passes through Kurenevka. In addition, the station “red army” in 1993 was renamed “Palace of sport”.
